Set up in Cursor

Cursor adds MCP servers from its settings or its MCP file. Get MCP Ads needs only its URL, and Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it uses it.

1Connect

Add it to Cursor

Settings, then MCP, then Add new global MCP server

  1. Add the entry below to the MCP config.
    ~/.cursor/mcp.json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "get-mcp-ads": {
          "url": "https://mcp.getmcpads.com/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. Cursor prompts to sign in on first use.

2Ask

Ask about your ads

Ask Cursor’s agent in plain words. It calls Get MCP Ads when a request needs your accounts.

One connector for the major ad platforms

Connect each platform once, with its own sign-in or API key. Cursor sees only the accounts you tick.

Requests and their answers

Security and pricing

  • Access

    Cursor signs in through OAuth the first time it calls Get MCP Ads, so no API key goes into mcp.json. It reaches only the ad accounts you tick.

  • Changes

    Every change shows a preview first and applies only after you confirm it. New campaigns, ad sets and ads are created paused, or as drafts on LinkedIn Ads.

  • Pricing

    The connection has no separate charge. Every plan includes every assistant and every platform: Free on 1 ad account, Pro from $39 a month after a 7-day trial for $0.

Questions

  • Open Cursor’s settings, then MCP, choose Add new global MCP server and add get-mcp-ads with https://mcp.getmcpads.com/mcp as its URL. Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it uses it.
  • Yes. A .cursor/mcp.json at the root of a project applies to that project only.
  • The same URL works in Cursor on the web and in Cursor’s agents, with a sign-in the first time.
  • Only the ones you tick in the dashboard. An account that is not ticked is refused on the next call, from any assistant.
  • No. Every change shows a preview first and applies only after you confirm it. New campaigns are created paused.
  • Free costs nothing on 1 ad account, with no card. Pro is $39 and Team $99 a month, after a 7-day trial for $0. Every plan includes every platform and every assistant.
