# bing_apply_customer_list_user_data

> Add or remove people on an account-owned Microsoft customer list (CustomerList audience).

Add or remove people on an account-owned Microsoft customer list (CustomerList audience). Emails are normalized and SHA-256 hashed by the server; the preview and the answer carry counts, never the addresses. Microsoft accepts emails only. Customer data needs the Customer Match terms: accepted once in the Microsoft Advertising UI, or by acceptCustomerMatchTerms on behalf of the account owner who explicitly agreed. Preview by default; a list serves only once Microsoft matches at least 300 people.

> **Note** Connect through Microsoft, then explicitly select the advertising accounts your assistant may access. Reads are available on Free; writes require an eligible paid plan.

> **Warning** This tool changes the account. It is absent from the tool list on the Free plan, and it previews by default: without `confirm: true` it describes the change and applies nothing.

## Parameters

| Name | Type | Required | Notes |

| `accountId` | string | Required | Numeric Microsoft Advertising ID as a string, not an account number. |
| `audienceId` | string | Required | ID of a CustomerList audience owned by the selected account. |
| `actionType` | string | Optional | Add uploads people; Remove takes them off the list. One of: `Add`, `Remove`. Default: `"Add"`. |
| `members` | array | Required | People who agreed to it, one email each. Raw addresses are never sent to Microsoft, returned or logged. |
| `acceptCustomerMatchTerms` | boolean | Optional | True only when the account owner explicitly accepts Microsoft's Customer Match terms for this upload. Omit when they were accepted in the Microsoft Advertising UI; false makes Microsoft refuse (8003). |
| `confirm` | boolean | Optional | False returns a local preview. True executes the specifically authorized change. Default: `false`. |
