## Set up in Cursor

Cursor adds MCP servers from its settings or its MCP file. Get MCP Ads needs only its URL, and Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it uses it.

Settings, then MCP, then Add new global MCP server

## Cursor and Claude Code

Cursor signs in through OAuth the first time it calls Get MCP Ads, so no API key goes into mcp.json. It reaches only the ad accounts you tick.

Every change shows a preview first and applies only after you confirm it. New campaigns, ad sets and ads are created paused, or as drafts on LinkedIn Ads.

## Questions

### How do I add Get MCP Ads to Cursor?

Open Cursor’s settings, then MCP, choose Add new global MCP server and add get-mcp-ads with https://mcp.getmcpads.com/mcp as its URL. Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it uses it.

### Can I add it to one project only?

Yes. A .cursor/mcp.json at the root of a project applies to that project only.

### Does it work in Cursor on the web?

The same URL works in Cursor on the web and in Cursor’s agents, with a sign-in the first time.

### Which ad accounts can Cursor see?

Only the ones you tick in the dashboard. An account that is not ticked is refused on the next call, from any assistant.

### Can Cursor change a campaign without my approval?

No. Every change shows a preview first and applies only after you confirm it. New campaigns are created paused.
