## Set up in Claude Code

Claude Code adds remote MCP servers from the terminal. One command adds Get MCP Ads, and /mcp signs you in through the browser.

## Claude Code and Claude

Both connect to the same URL and the same ad accounts. The views open in Claude, the chat assistant.

- Where you add it: claude mcp add in the terminal / Claude: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector
- Sign-in: /mcp opens the sign-in in the browser / Claude: A sign-in page in the browser, no API key
- Views in the conversation: None. Answers come back as text and tables / Claude: Yes
- Reports and changes: Every platform you connected, or one platform per project with its own URL / Claude: Every platform you connected, each change previewed first

## Security and pricing

### Access

Claude Code signs in through OAuth in the browser, so no API key goes into a config file. It reaches only the ad accounts you tick.

### Changes

Every change shows a preview first and applies only after you confirm it. New campaigns, ad sets and ads are created paused, or as drafts on LinkedIn Ads.

## Questions

### How do I add Get MCP Ads to Claude Code?

Run claude mcp add --transport http get-mcp-ads https://mcp.getmcpads.com/mcp. Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, choose get-mcp-ads and approve the sign-in page in your browser.

### Can I use it in every project?

Yes. Add --scope user to the command and the server is there in every project. Without it, it stays with the project you ran it in.

### Should I use the shared URL or one platform’s URL?

For a session on one source, the platform’s own URL keeps the list of tools short, for example https://mcp.getmcpads.com/google-ads/mcp. The shared URL reaches every platform you connected.

### Does Claude Code show the cockpit and the views?

No. Claude Code answers in text and tables. The cockpit and the views open in Claude and ChatGPT.

### Can it send a report to Google Sheets?

Yes. Ask for the report and the sheet: Get MCP Ads shows the export’s settings in text, and the sheet keeps refreshing after the session ends. Hourly refresh comes with Team.

### Is Claude Code the same as Claude?
